Arzu Arda Kosar received her MFA from USC and BA in art history and studio arts from the University of Pittsburgh. She earned a fashion design certificate at Los Angeles Trade Technical College, was a patternmaker in the garment industry and taught at Otis College of Art and Design. She earned a BA in Art at California State University Northridge. Julie exhibits nationally and has won numerous awards for her woven wall pieces and sculptural basketry.
